Viva La’ Roja! I sincerely hope every last one of you spent
last night dancing until sunrise with a bunch of mad Spaniards. Quite the
culmination of our fantastic festival. I’ll have that “Killers” song stuck in
my head for weeks to come. “Are we human, or we [a bunch of crazy European]
dancers?”

retroactive notes:
Call
it an “anticlimax” if you must, but we had to complete the Hot Girl Standings.
That’s enough. Go kick a ball with a stranger.
Bravo, Europe. Bravo, L’Espana. While the first ever defense
of a European Title was never in any serious doubt (even before the unfortunate
Thiago Motta injury), the defense of the Chicas Championship came down to wire.
Two final scorching senoritas blew us all a goodbye kiss moments before the
stadium coverage ended, breaking the deadlock and giving the Spanish FIVE
consecutive major titles. Below one can infer how it went much the same way two
years ago. Nice total this year: 846 randomly caught on camera…and noted by a
fastidious football enthusiast. Keep the scope of this world in mind, brothers.
Ninety, nine problems……
