Gee….thanks, 26-M. I deeply appreciate being compared to a listless sequel. ; )
For the record, your soft little jab could have been much worse. At least you
didn’t liken this Summer’s Syndicate to “Goal 3: Taking on the World.”
In
the event that some readers haven’t the foggiest what we’re talking about, 26-M
and I are trading riffs on an American Soccer Movie Trilogy chronicling the
rise of Santiago Munez, a young Mexican dreamer who found success with
Newcastle United and later Real Madrid.
The
first installment of the trilogy was absolutely brilliant; one of the best
movies you’ll ever watch. Bookie’s promise!
The sequel left much to be desired, but remained watchable. The final
installment of the trilogy narrowly beat out “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III”
for the “worst el-cheapo attempt to aim for a straight-to-DVD release” that
you’ll ever see. It sucked more harder than Nancy Reagan on a cocaine bender.
What
Garbage. Thank you, 26-M, for at least not comparing my latest work to that
atrocity!
