WM 2010--Day Twenty Recap

Day 20
WM 2010

Record—
Spread: 22-33
Straight up: 32-11-12

The Kaka Jesus Cleats did not work. The Yankees won the World Series. Kurt Warner’s prayers went unanswered. Brad Lidge’s faith in God betrayed him. The Catholic Vigils of the Italians produced no results. The country rolled over like a Priest in a grave that’s being drilled into. Tim Tebow wasn’t drafted high. All of these horribly unjust football refereeing decisions!  The list goes on and on. Yes, the evidence is becoming more convincing all the time. Jesus has stopped caring about sports. Wonder what’s wrong with him? I mean, what else is there for a deified religious figure to do these days? Hunger? Poverty? Disease? Fuck no!

The fellowship of Christian Athletes have games they must win! There are “activist liberal judges” that must be struck down with heart attacks. Twenty six percent of Americans are waiting on the apocalypse! Oh well. Sad that Jesus obviously won’t be won’t be intervening in the Germany-Argentina match tomorrow…….or is it….hehehehehe evil snicker. Maybe the Germans have a chance after all..

And, as expected, the most important reason God does not exist is Asamoah Gyan’s penalty miss. Africa’s faith hung in the balance. You hit the bar?!?! Gentlemen and Ladie…….okay Gentlemen. We have born witness to the “Clank heard round the World”. Damn it all to hell!! Oh well. At least we did not bear witness to a game as boring as Charlie Rose on Rush Limbaugh’s drugs. What a striking start to the quarterfinals!

Uruguay has no chance. No chance period. A country of four million cannot compete with the big boys. A fitting finish for Ghana, which had been under-achieving for far too long! Yes, everyone, the dreaded Dutch are in the lead. Logic dictates that they will also make it to the quarterfinals. We may very well be crowning Holland as the Chicas champion!!! LL As your impartial enumerator, I must report that I will be forced to do so unless either the Spanish, Argentines, or Germans step up!!! What? One of those teams will be eliminated tomorrow??? Oh, we are in deeper shit than a Louisiana Pelican!!!
